The nonprofit Car Care Council notes that April is National Car Care Month. That’s the month when car owners are reminded to have someone check their oil and tires and perform all those routine maintenance tasks that most people keep putting off. These days, with self-isolation, recommendations and orders to stay safe at home, it would be even easier to put off those routine car maintenance chores for even longer.
But the Car Care Council says that’s a bad idea especially when you can perform a “driveway vehicle check” without leaving home. The idea is for car owners to take 10 minutes to check your car’s fluids, take a look at the tires, check the hoses and belts, and make sure your wipers and lights are working. If something is wrong, then it’s time to hop in the car and take it to an auto care service center like Tracy’s Automotive to have it fixed. Many shops have remained open in stay-at-home areas and most have instituted polices to ensure limited personal contact, allowing you to drop off and pick up your vehicle quickly and safely.”
