But if you know there’s a period when icy roads are always an issue, mounting winter tires isn’t an over-the-top precaution – it’s an essential safety measure that could save your life.”
Bridgestone explains that is because, while all-weather tires can handle some winter driving challenges, snow, or winter, tires are engineered specifically to cope with icy, snowy roadways. Among those improvements are rubber designed for cold weather and rubber tread designed to better grip the road.
