Sedgewick County issued a “stay at home” order that went into effect on Wednesday (March 25) as one part of the effort to stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Under the order, residents are supposed to remain at home, leaving only to perform “essential activities.” Also, all businesses not deemed “essential” must close.

According to the order, “gas stations and auto-supply, auto-repair and servicing, emergency road services, and related facilities” are considered “essential” and are allowed to remain open.
