A bit about Mr. Crum, according to his obituary. You can read his full obituary at affordablecremationsplus.com.

“Richard Louis Crum, 59, entered eternal rest on Wednesday (February 8, 2023) in Wichita, Ks.

“He was born on May 24, 1963 in Wichita to his parents Dalton Roscoe and Claris Irene Parker Crum. Rich was a lifelong resident of Wichita and proud alumni of West High School, graduating in 1981.

“Not long after graduating Rich went to work for Whitlock Parts Store as a Manager, then he became the Service Manager at Davis-Moore Nissan before moving to Rusty Eck’s Quick Lane as their Service Manager and Heavy Truck Manager. Rich later became the Developmental Dealer Sales Manager for T.C.I. and the past few years has been the Fleet Manager at Tracy’s Automotive Tire. Rich made many work friends over the years. …

“Rich often enjoyed karaoke and was a sight to behold in Western wear while singing along to George Strait. He also loved attending car shows with his brother and watching his favorite teams. He was an avid sports fan, never missing a Kansas City Chiefs or K.U. Jayhawks Basketball game, a passion he shared with his family. Through the years Rich bowled on several leagues in the Wichita area.

“Rich’s love for sports could only be surpassed by his adoration for his six grandchildren. Every weekend Papa could be found taking selfies with or cuddling his grand babies, giving lawn mower rides, or handing out popsicles. Rich loved sharing grandparenthood with his wife and considered it his greatest honor in life. He attended most every grandchild’s event’s and if he couldn’t be there in person he would FaceTime them and did so every single day.

“Rich never encountered a stranger. He was very well known for his pride in his family, his jovial spirit, and love of a good conversation. He was a goofball at heart and enjoyed making others laugh.  Rich never hesitated to stop what he was doing to help a friend in need. He will be immensely missed by so many.”

Information about the memorial service: “Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 4th, at Sunrise Christian Academy, 5500 E. 45th Street, North in Bel Aire, with dinner to follow. In honor of Rich, the family requests that attendees wear Western attire.”
